Christmas Jumper Day rocks!

On Friday 14th November Karl Fedyk of AC Plc held a Christmas Jumper fundraiser for the SMART Prebend Centre. Many of the team at AC Plc got sponsored for coming to work in festive attire and they managed to raise an impressive £200!

We asked Karl why he chose to fundraise for the SMART Prebend Centre. Karl said “I live in Bedford and can see the difficulty people are having on the streets. Also my colleague has been touched personally by the support your centre provides. We hope the money raised will help to make a difference to those who really need it over the winter months.”

We would like to say a massive thank you to Karl and the team at AC Plc; it’s only with the help of the local community that we can continue to keep the centre open.

About the SMART Prebend Centre

The Prebend Centre is open 365 days of the year offering homeless adults a safe space to access the basics that we all take for granted, such as hot meals, phones, internet, medical advice and showers. SMART workers assist users of the service to make plans to tackle their current problems by working alongside professional partners and other charitable services. Read more…
