The countdown to Christmas is ON!
Here at Prebend Street, we’re starting to get rather excited about Christmas. The decorations are up (well done Evette and Michelle!) and we’ve just been sent a wonderful 5ft tree by local resident which we can’t wait to adorn with all kinds of glitzy baubles and sparkly tinsel!
This week, along with all of our other day to day tasks, we’ve been asking our beneficiaries what they would like for Christmas. We’re providing Christmas Dinner to all those who need it this year PLUS a small gift. The kinds of things they have asked for include shopping vouchers, socks, toiletries, and chocolates. (Notice there’s not a single playstation, mobile phone or designer purse on this list.) When you donate just £22, this enables us to pay for everything we need to make their meal and buy them the present they requested. After all, everybody deserves a little treat on Christmas Day, don’t they?
