SMART offers a range of community services, including drug and alcohol treatment, homeless and rough sleeper projects and well-being initiatives.
Drug and alcohol
SMART provides community based drug and alcohol treatment for adults and young people in Wokingham. The service offers one-to-one recovery sessions, assessments, group activities, well-being clinics and needle exchange.
The Rough Sleeper Partnership provides a combination of Outreach Support and Assessment Hubs where homeless people can go to access help and support. The Project covers Milton Keynes, Bletchley, Bedford Borough and Luton.
The service is provided in Partnership, across the four local authority areas. Partners include SMART, Signposts Luton, King’s Arm’s Project, and Open Door MK.
The SMART Prebend Centre in Bedford is open 365 days per year and provides vital facilities and services for homeless people, including access to medical professionals, showers, clean clothes, meals and emergency food packs. Service Users are supported by recovery workers who provide advice, advocacy and signposting.
