Ongoing Training and Development

When you join us we will give you a comprehensive induction including training as identified.  We offer a range of ongoing training based on an individual and team needs. We also run mandatory courses such as Safeguarding, carried out in line with local requirements.

Robust Performance and Development processes

Our Performance Development Processes are designed to enable you to be the best you can be in your role.  Annual plans incorporate team/individual targets; training and development needs; monthly managerial and/or clinical supervisions and regular 360° feedback from service users, colleagues and partners.

Annual leave

For a full-time role, the annual holiday entitlement is 27 days plus bank holidays.  This increases to 30 days following completion of three years continuous service.  For part-time posts the holiday entitlement is pro-rata.


We offer a pension scheme which complies with the government’s auto-enrolment scheme.  SMART will contribute six per cent of your salary to the scheme once you have completed three months of employment. You can also opt in to contribute personally to the scheme. Further details will be provided when you start employment.

Childcare Vouchers

If you’re a parent who already takes childcare vouchers, you’re eligible to carry on doing so for as long as you need, as long as you order at least once every twelve months. As of 4 October 2018, childcare vouchers closed for new parent registrations. For more information please follow the link
