Terms and Conditions
The full-time salary range for the role will be detailed in the advertisement. If the post you are applying for is part-time the salary will be pro-rata to the number of hours you work. We have a cost of living review annually, but no increase is guaranteed.
Hours of work
Our standard week is 37 hours for a full time role. Start and finish times are agreed locally with the Service Manager. Some services have evening and weekend working on a rota basis. This will be detailed in the advert and discussed in more detail at interview. We do have part time and job share roles and also offer flexible working hours subject to approval.
For a full-time role, the annual holiday entitlement is 27 days plus bank holidays. This increases to 30 days following completion of three years continuous service. For part-time posts the holiday entitlement is pro-rata.
We offer a pension scheme which complies with the government’s auto enrolment scheme. SMART will contribute six per cent of your salary to the scheme once you have completed three months of employment. You can also opt in to contribute personally to the scheme. Further details will be provided when you start employment.
All posts are subject to a six month probationary period. During this time you will have ongoing training and supervision. At the end of this period, a formal appraisal will take place, prior to confirmation in post.
Depending on your length of service, employees who are absent from work through sickness or injury may be entitled to payment at the rate of full salary, for a period, through our sick pay scheme.
