Homelessness Support Worker Rough Sleeper Initiative

Join us as a homelessness Support Worker and make a difference.

As a support worker at SMART, you will be instrumental in the day to day running of our services, working flexibly within a shift pattern that will include some unsociable hours.

Salary £20,557 per annum (pro rata), full-time and part-time roles available. Will include evenings and weekends.

Terms: Fixed term until March 2022 with the possibility of an extension pending additional funding. Full-time and part-time roles available. Will include evenings and weekends.

Location: Vacancies at Bedford and Milton Keynes.

Key Internal Relations: Service Manager, colleagues, volunteers and service users relations

Key External Relations: Council, Submisuse Services, Mental Health Servies, ELFT and other key partners

About the role

You will assist caseworkers with the implementation of support plans and provide support to service users in the absence of caseworkers. You will be required to help maintain the safety and security of the building and complete basic office duties. Assisting visitors, responding to queries from service users and external agencies are key to this role, so it is crucial that you have good communication skills. You will are required to maintain high professional standards at all times.
