HOW MUCH IS TOO MUCH?

Did you know that when we have drinks at home we pour on average 3 times more than a standard pub measure?!

Often we overindulge during the Christmas period and sometimes find it hard to get back on track. To add to this the pandemic has introduced a host of additional factors that has seen the nation drinking more at home. We might feel we are either drinking more than we should and don’t know how to tackle it – either reducing it or cutting it out altogether.

So how do you know how much is too much? How do you know when it’s getting out of hand?

SMART Wokingham is offering a free online session to help residents of Wokingham understand if they are drinking too much and how to make small changes to cut down.

Reasons to consider attending a session:

  • Feeling like you have consumed too much alcohol over the festive period
  • Finding it hard to reduce or cut down your drinking
  • Gaining weight due to alcohol use
  • Just unsure about the level of safe drinking

What happens during the session?

  • A guided self-assessment of your current drinking patterns
  • Practical hints and tips on how to reduce
  • How to access further support if required

When are the sessions?

These friendly, informative, one off sessions will last 45 minutes and start at 6pm on:

Thursday 14th January

Thursday 21st January

Thursday 28th January

How to gain access to a session?

Sessions are hosted via Zoom. This is a free video conference facility available with an internet connection via your phone, tablet or PC (you may need to download the software or App if you don’t already have it).

No need to book – just turn up at 6pm by clicking on the link www.zoom.us/j/91058386008
