Substance Misuse Nurse – Residential Detoxification Service in Oxford
We are currently recruiting for a Substance Misuse Nurse to join the team at SMART Howard House in Oxford.
Job role: Substance Misuse Nurse
Hours: 4 days per week including some weekends + 3.5 hours paid study time per month
Salary: £42,000 Pro Rata + Recruitment and Retention Bonus
Location: Residential Detoxification Unit in Oxford
Benefits: 27+ days annual leave + bank holidays / 6% employer pension contribution / On-site parking
About the role
At SMART Howard House, situated near to the centre of Oxford, you would be working closely within a successful, committed and caring multidisciplinary team of ten. The service is commissioned by Oxfordshire County Council Public Health Team and has been rated Good by CQC in November 2018.
SMART Howard House is a unique 10-bed project, providing a 12-week therapeutic programme in parallel to medically managed detoxification from alcohol and opiates. Service users are supported through a period of significant and visible change, making this an extremely rewarding role.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and passionate Nurse to contribute to the ongoing success of the service. This exciting role will offer the successful candidate the chance to make a lasting difference to the lives of our service users. The role requires a high level of independent working and competency and provides a number of varied and interesting development opportunities for the right applicant.
