SMART Wokingham rushing to raise money for a defibrillatior!

On Sunday 20th May staff from SMART Wokingham will be taking part in the Color Obstacle Rush in Windsor. The team are hoping to raise £1500 through sponsorship and donations to purchase a defibrillator for the service.

About SMART Wokingham

People accessing SMART Wokingham can gain accredited qualifications and participate in the SMART community, where they help to make decisions and changes concerning the service.

What is a defibrillator?

A defibrillator is a device that gives a high energy electric shock to the heart through the chest wall to someone who is in cardiac arrest.

Why is it important to have a defibrillator at SMART Wokingham?

When someone suffers a cardiac arrest, time is of the essence. If we can get to them quickly, start CPR, and get a defibrillator on them quickly, we dramatically improve their chance of survival.

What is the Color Obstacle Rush?

The Color Obstacle Rush is a unique event over 5 kilometres, combining colour powdered runs and a challenging obstacle course, with the atmosphere of a music festival.
